McCarthy Kids Camp serves as a vital cornerstone for local and visiting families throughout the summer season. By offering curated educational journeys and wilderness exploration within the Wrangells, MKC balances mentor-led discovery with ample freedom for creative play. Our mission is to foster a love for natural history and science through hands-on learning while ensuring every child can explore their imagination in a safe environment. All of our teachers are certified and are deeply committed to providing a quality and meaningful experience for your child each day.

Family Meetings: All families will be invited to an afternoon picnic at the playground sometime during the week of June 8–12 to meet Sadie Himot and talk about our educational/social/safety goals. We will hold another afternoon picnic on the weekend of July 11/12 to meet Matt Wattendorf. Our last meeting will be a "wrap up" meeting in early August to plan for the 2027 season.
